Rhonda Sivarajah was elected to the Anoka County Board of Commissioners in November of 2002 after working in the Human Services Division of Anoka County for nearly 12 years. Commissioner Sivarajah is the former chair of the Anoka Area Interagency Early Intervention Committee, representing a parent perspective on service coordination for young children with disabilities. She was also an active member of the Healthy Start steering committee, an initiative of the ACCFC, and was the driving force behind developing a process to refer pregnant women and infants applying for public assistance to Healthy Start. Commissioner Sivarajah has a history of working collaboratively in many areas including early intervention, refugee services and health care. She sits on sixteen Anoka County Boards or Committees, including the Children's Mental Health Advisory Committee, Anoka County WorkForce Council, and the Anoka County Housing and Redevelopment Authority. She is also the lead commissioner on diversity. Commissioner Sivarajah graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and a minor in East Asian Studies.
